That said, it is important to keep the EMP threat in perspective and to avoid hyping it into an Armageddon-like scenario. In today's age of cyberattacks, there are other man-made threats that are more likely to impact the electrical grid and critical infrastructure, and the limited amount of resources available to protect the United States against such threats must be used wisely — and not in reaction to hype.
