If you had a 75-inch TV five years ago, you were probably everybody’s best friend and had the choice of hosting parties for the Super Bowl, the Oscars and everything in between.

Today, though, the 75-inch TV no longer exudes that VIP sentiment. In fact, in many circles, if you have a TV that’s smaller than that, you’re probably seen as being slightly behind the curve tech-wise.

So, if you’re in the market for a 75-inch gem for your family’s movie nights, here are some nice options for you to consider.

At the top of the list is LG’s C9 OLED TV. The price tag of $5,000 may be an eyesore, but keep in mind that everything you’re getting with this is high-end and future-proof. Featuring one of the top OLED panels around, it delivers nearly perfect black levels, precise colors, wide viewing angles and outstanding uniformity.

Next up is the Sony X900F, which is a great option if you need true 4K Ultra HD resolution. Instead of culling from OLED tech, this beast’s backlighting utilizes full-array local dimming in an effective way that can boost black-and-white contrast levels and create an awesome picture. Like most TVs in its class, the X900F supports HDR games and movies, and at $1,800, it is much more reasonable for your wallet than the C9 OLED.

No. 3 on the list is the TCL 6-Series (non-QLED). For those who are more budget-conscious, TCL has been the go-to brand for several years now. This 75-inch jewel only reasserts that fact and this particular TV delivers in a big way. Priced at only $1,200, you would be hard-pressed to find a 75-incher for much cheaper than that. It might not have the “wow” factor of LG’s OLEDs but the picture still looks fantastic and it comes with the Roku TV operating system, which is considered one of the best around.

Here’s another TCL offering, and the company indeed threw the kitchen sink at it. The TCL 8-Series is a bit pricier – $2,600 – but you’ll be getting a new tech called Mini-LED. The result is incredible contrast and brightness, which makes the TV perfect for both daytime and nighttime viewing. It also features Dolby Vision HDR, Dolby Atmos and four HDMI ports for connecting to multiple devices.

Finally, for two options in the $2,000 range, be sure to check out the Samsung Q70 and the Vizio P-Series Quantum X. Samsung’s offering has outstanding overall image quality, accurate colors, fast video processing and the deep blacks are indeed something to behold. Meanwhile, Vizio’s TV utilizes QLED tech to produce eye-popping HDR images and it also flaunts heavy-duty video processing, which is great for hardcore gamers out there.

As you can see by these options, the prices are getting more and more reasonable, and you’re still getting an awesome product that you and your family can enjoy for years to come. Gone are the days of spending $10K for a 75-incher – perhaps we’ll be having a similar discussion for 85-inch TVs in the near future.
