Here's What You Need to Know: If you’re looking to upgrade your concealed carry pistol, go for the Glock 43X MOS over the SIG P239.

The Glock 43X MOS was completely redesigned from the original 43X and features some major improvements. It’s incredibly small, 6.5” overall with the barrel accounting for 3.4”. Including the magazine, it’s just 5” tall. It’s also very lightweight, weighing at 23 oz fully loaded, making it one of the best pistols for concealed carry. It’s easy to carry in your waistband or throw in your gear bag on the way to the range.

Even though it’s very light and tiny, it still has an excellent grip. A huge improvement over the original 43 pistol’s grip, it’s compact-sized but fits your hand well, offers excellent control, and helps to greatly mitigate felt recoil. The slide on the 43X MOS also features a traditional black nDLC finish, which gives a much more discreet look than the original stainless steel.

It also includes the traditional Glock black polymer frame. While it’s nothing special, it still looks nice and is molded very well. If you’re looking for a well-balanced, easy-to-control pistol, this is the one to consider.

The standard plastic iron sights are nothing special, but thankfully, they’re easy to replace. The 43X MOS includes a small Picatinny rail up top, which allows you to attach any scope you’d like. You can try red dots, lasers, lights, and more. On small pistols like these, however, it can be hard to manipulate the slide with optics attached. That’s why Glock included front serrations to let you do so without any smudging. They truly covered all the bases when it comes to easy handling.

The single-stack magazines included with this pistol can accommodate 10 rounds of ammo. It has a higher capacity than the Glock 36, but some people might still want more. While the pistol won’t fit any magazines made for the original G43, there are 15-round extended options available. It cycles just about anything you put in it, and recoil is especially light for such a small firearm. While it is noticeable, it’s not uncontrollable and nowhere near as bad as some similarly-sized snub-nosed revolvers.

If you’re looking to upgrade your concealed carry pistol, go for the Glock 43X MOS over the SIG P239. It’s lightweight, just as concealable as the popular Glock 19, incredibly reliable, and very durable. And, at around $400-$550 retail, it won’t break the bank.
