Kamala Harris Isn't Liked for One Big Reason: There is no denying that many politicians have the (likely mistaken) belief that they're the smartest person in the room.

It likely takes a certain level of narcissism to want to seek public office. The issue is certainly compounded by those who look to lead the nation.

Former President Barack Obama was accused on multiple occasions that he held such an opinion that he was smarter than anyone around him, and that fact likely made it difficult for his advisors. The same held true for former President Donald Trump, who often made it crystal clear that he was always the smartest one – going so far as to tout himself as a "genius."  

As a result, Obama was labeled condescending and arrogant at times, while Trump was seen as pompous and oftentimes smug.  

Much of the same is true of President Joe Biden – who despite being a self-confessed gaffe machine – apparently believes that he's a savior for America. It is his vast experience doing everything, along with his years of selfless toil that made him the only person who truly could lead America to a brighter tomorrow. Joe Biden often speaks to the common "folks" with near disdain that it might make one ponder whether we're worthy of his hard work and sacrifice.

Perhaps that is also why he routinely berates his aides and seems frustrated when those in the media dare question him on almost anything!

Kamala Harris Just Talks to Everyone Like They're Children

Then there is Vice President Kamala Harris, who has been repeatedly mocked for her inability to deliver concise and coherent thought.

She's become known for her "word salad" – seemingly unable to convey the most simple message.

Clearly given her verbal stumbles, she certainly can't see herself as a genius, but perhaps she does. In fact, her way of speaking isn't so much stumbles – it is her attempt to speak down to the audience. We're just not enlightened enough or simply lack the intelligence to take it in.

As Fox News contributor Marc Thiessen suggested this summer, the problem with VP Kamala Harris is that she talks to the public like we're all children. Yet, the problem is that we see through it.

"She has this habit of talking about the most mundane things in this deeply profound voice. And when people hear that, when people hear her say, 'Transportation is about getting people to the place they want to go,' and says it in such a profound way, they think one of two things. Either they think she's stupid or they think, 'She thinks I'm stupid.' People don't like to be talked to like a child. And so either they just lose confidence in her or they think she's talking down to them, and that makes her profoundly unpopular," Thiessen explained.

Clearly, the American people don't appreciate the condescending way that the VEEP talks to them.

An NBC News poll from the summer found Vice President Harris has the dubious distinction of having the lowest net-negative rating of modern vice presidents in their polling history.

Only 32 percent of registered voters said they had a positive view of Harris, compared to 49 percent with a negative view, including 39 percent with a "very negative view." This leaves Harris with a net -17 rating, which the outlet noted was the lowest for any vice president in the poll's history.

What is perhaps so shocking isn't that 32 percent of voters maintain a positive view of Harris, it is that the American people are actually stupid enough to keep casting ballots for these politicians who clearly think so little of the voters.
