While it might seem like an eternity from now until election day, depending on what poll you look at, the race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump on the national level is as tight as ever.

In fact, many recent polls have them tied in the popular vote, but of course, wait an hour, and a new poll could have either candidate in the lead. Welcome to the 2024 election; it will get even crazier from here. 

Digging a little deeper, it seems the battleground ground states are clearly showing off this trend.

In perhaps the most important state of all, Pennsylvania, the 2024 presidential race seems like a toss-up. 

A poll out just now in the Washington Post as the Granite state tied up. 

From the Post:

“Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump are locked in a statistical tie in Pennsylvania, according to a Washington Post poll of a state that many analysts see as the battleground most likely to determine the outcome of the presidential election.

One week after a debate that Pennsylvania voters widely say Harris won, she is favored by 48 percent of both likely voters and registered voters, while Trump is supported by 47 percent of voters in both categories. Third-party candidates are not a major factor in the race, The Post’s poll finds: After excluding minor candidates, Harris and Trump are both at 48 percent among likely voters, with Harris at 48 percent and Trump at 47 percent among registered voters.”

What Happens Now? We Ask an Expert 

I asked one GOP pollster who had done extensive work for former GOP presidential candidate and now departing Utah Senator Mitt Romney what it all means. He was not surprised, stating that:

"This race is going to go down to the very last day, and the very last few thousand votes," explained the pollster. 

"I think Pennsylvania could very well decide the presidential election in 2024. Both sides will spend millions and millions of dollars on TV ads, online ads and get out of the vote efforts to try and take the state. But even after all of that, it could be 10,000 to 20,000 votes that decides who wins the state. I think that same trend will hold true in Arizona, North Carolina, Georgia, and many other states."

Stay tuned, America, this is going to be a photo finish election and the outcome is nowhere near decided. Espeically if we get one more debate before all is said and one.
