Many of us are indeed looking forward to a long weekend of fun with family and friends at a cabin or on a lake. Sure, there won’t be any live sports to watch—in the U.S. anyway—but perhaps putting on a family-friendly movie could be the perfect thing to do while relaxing on the lawn or deck.

The worst thing that you can do is to put your $3K OLED or QLED HDTV out there to fend for itself in the elements. That’s where the 75-inch SunBriteTV Signature 2 Series comes in—it’s built to withstand whatever the weather throws at it.

However, with great ideas, high price points usually follow. This particular model is currently retailing for $10K, so it is definitely not on the cheaper end of the spectrum.

If you do decide to go with the Signature 2 Series, you’ll be getting a durable powder-coated, rust-proof aluminum exterior that protects the internal components from rain, snow, dust, insects and humidity. Moreover, it won’t matter what region of the country you call home, as the TV can keep on running smoothly in extreme temperatures ranging from minus 24 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.

This SunBriteTV model comes with great overall picture as well. Up to three times brighter than indoor TVs, the panel does a valiant job in improving the viewing experience in brighter outdoor environments. The TruVision anti-glare technology also works well to deliver 4K resolution at up to 700 nits.

One noticeable shortcoming of the Signature 2 Series is that viewing angles are lacking somewhat. Especially when sitting on the outside edges of seating areas, colors can at times get skewed and washed out.

Be sure to keep in mind that this outdoor TV has no Wi-Fi connectivity and no built-in smart-TV capabilities. So, if you need to stream Netflix or Disney+, be sure to go out and purchase a streaming device like Roku or Amazon Fire TV.

There’s also no internal audio. For outdoor all-weather TVs, having speakers has always been a problem because that would require open grilles to let sound pass through—which would also let in insects, water and dust.

However, you can always go with an outdoor-focused soundbar made by SunBriteTV or another reputable brand. Also, know that because of the weather-proofing demands of the casing, connecting a soundbar to the TV can be a bit trickier.
