Neither Candidate Scored Any Decisive Victory

Their disrespect for each other in blunt and sometimes brutal ways marred the effort to place this debate on a high plane of discourse 

 

Neither candidate faltered seriously in performing the task at hand, but neither scored any obvious decisive victory either. Clinton, who had the edge going in, probably retained it afterward. That places a substantial final-month challenge before Donald Trump.
