Will the Western Peace Movement Die in Ukraine?
The Western peace movement that mobilized against Russian aggression seems reluctant to raise its voice enough against Western governments and boldly revive a mission it started decades ago.
However, the peace movement’s mission is not without challenges. The greatest is the currently agitated public opinion and the populist voices who will accuse the movement of compromise, being soft on national security issues, and appeasing aggressors. Those challenges raise a question: does the movement have the capacity to overcome its ebb when it is needed to flow?
