Paul Rexton Kan
Paul Rexton Kan is Professor of National Security Studies at the U.S. Army War College. He is the author of the books, Drugs and Contemporary Warfare, Cartels at War and Drug Trafficking and International Security as well as numerous articles on the intersection of deviant globalization and armed conflict. His work has been cited in the New York Times, the Washington Post and Forbes as well as featured on websites as diverse as DefenseOne and Freakanomics. In February 2011, he was the Senior Visiting Counternarcotics Advisor to ISAF Headquarters in Kabul, Afghanistan. He has also provided his insights to the Office of National Drug Control Policy (aka, Drug Czar’s office); the Attorney General’s Office of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Provost Marshal of U.S. Army Military Police.
