Jonathan Panter
Jonathan Panter is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at Columbia University. His primary field is international relations, with interests in maritime power projection and military organizational practices. Mr. Panter’s dissertation examines the impact of naval presence operations on civil-military relations in the United States. Prior to attending Columbia, he served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy, deploying twice in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. He holds an M.Phil. and M.A. in political science from Columbia, and a B.A. in government from Cornell University.
